The Nursing Officer of the Day supervises, manages, and guides all levels of nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, and NAs) as these staff members provide primary and psychiatric care to Veterans. The NOD is a resource to Charge Nurses and staff in decision-making and emergent care of Veterans throughout the Medical Center.
