SUMMARYThe PRP Rehabilitation Specialist-Adult is responsible for the overall delivery and provision of rehabilitative services. The Rehabilitation Specialist assures that the needs of consumers are identified, documented, and addressed in accordance to governing regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED AS NECESSARY.
- Completes Rehabilitation Assessments to identify the rehabilitative needs of participating consumers.
- Must be able to problem solve, pay attention to details and critical think
- Lead and coordinate Individual Rehabilitation Program team meetings with engaged stakeholders, including therapists and consumers.
- Provide program directors with daily updates
- Managing office duties as needed
- Develop Individual Rehabilitation Plans for each client, with domain, short and long-term goals and interventions.
- Shares/transmits the mission and vision of E&S Behavioral Health Services to staff and to clients and families served.
- Complete and monitor staff Relias trainings
- Updating the program director on agency inventory that may be needed.
- Completing monthly, quarterly, and annually documentation for the PRP Department
- Maintain a manageable caseload to ensure outcomes and practice requirements are met while taking into consideration the level of care of clients served.
- Managing the social media pages - with the approval of the program director
- Calling all clients in the PRP program at least once a month to monitor progress or lack there of.
- Oversee the program and implementation of rehabilitation services
- Employ and supervise appropriate staff to conduct rehabilitation services to clients participating in the program.
- Provide orientation, supervision, and training including coordinating 60 hours of training to PRP Workers with the support of staff development coordinator, to assure the support and goal attainment of participating consumers.
- Collect monthly staff invoices, review invoices for accuracy, and sign invoices before submitting to the director or to billing.
- Review and sign client’s daily contact notes/ monthly progress notes and record in client tracking record
- Educate direct service staff (Direct Care Associates) on how to provide rehabilitation services that correlate to the goals identified in the individual’s IRP.
- Conduct staff meetings daily/ monthly for planning and assessment of staff development
- Conduct on-site training and coordinate off-site training when necessary.
- Conduct intake/assessments/IRP development and Face to Face screenings with clients.
- Assign caseloads to staff
- Must be able to conduct outreach for PRP clients and create partnership with resources/ agencies in the community
- Conduct on-going assessment of staff’s performance
- Reinforce company policies; COMAR regulatory requirements, and other regulatory agency requirements.
- Provide disciplinary procedures in accordance with E&S Behavioral Health Services
- Meet with the program director weekly to present updates, discuss staff concerns, program concerns, and regulatory concerns.
- Attend quarterly PRP meetings with CSA and complete required documentation.
- Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, Arrow policy, and CARF standards.
Supervisory responsibilitiesRehabilitation Specialist - directly supervises Direct Care Associate.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with E&S Behavioral Health Services policy and procedures, CARF standards, State and Federal laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance including coaching and future performance development; managers training needs through learning management system; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Maintain quality improvement goals and address at regularly scheduled staff meetings. Oversee Client delivery and ensure performance measurements and outcomes are met.

Education, Licensure and/or Experience
- Must be certified by the US Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association as a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP)
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the ministry.
Mathematical Skills:Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables. Ability to problem solve with a variety of client and staff issues.
Other Requirements
Must successfully pass State and FBI background screens.
