Radiation Oncologist (Gynecologic Malignancy Focus) - Faculty (MD/DO) - UNC School of Medicine
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure- or non-tenure-track faculty position, with rank and track commensurate with qualifications. We are seeking a clinically and academically driven radiation oncologist with expertise in gynecologic malignancies, including brachytherapy, to join our Chapel Hill campus.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical care focused on gynecologic oncology, including brachytherapy
Develop a secondary disease site focus aligned with departmental needs and candidate expertise
Engage in academic research, which may include:
* Laboratory-based research
* Clinical and translational research
* Physics-based research (as applicable)
Contribute to teaching and mentorship within an academic medical environment
Minimum Qualifications
MD, DO, or equivalent degree
Completion of accredited residency training in Radiation Oncology
ABR certification or eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated interest in academic research (laboratory, clinical, translational, and/or physics-based)
Broad clinical expertise across disease sites
Experience or interest in proton therapy (preferred, not required)
Radiopharmaceutical Authorized User status (preferred, not required)
